DT Legal Ice Hockey Team Starts the 2026/2027 Season with a Confident Win

The DT Legal Ice Hockey team kicked off the 2026/2027 season with a confident 6–2 victory over Rockets Hockey Club.

The opening game was a serious test for a team that is still being rebuilt. DT Legal had only 8–9 players available for the game, compared with the usual 14–15. The team has also moved to a new league this season, meaning that several players from last year’s squad were no longer eligible to play for DT Legal. The team has also completely renewed its goaltending line-up and is still in the process of finalising the roster for the new season.

Despite these challenges, DT Legal delivered a strong performance and secured a convincing 6–2 victory. One of the team’s new additions is a top goaltender who played for one of the strongest teams in the league last season and produced an excellent performance in his very first game for DT Legal.

“The start of the season has not been easy: a new league, a new roster, new goalies and a very short bench. But these are exactly the situations I enjoy. Some people look at problems and immediately say that nothing is going to work. I prefer to see them as opportunities to make the team stronger. Our first game was a good example of that,” said Dmitri Tchernenko, Captain of DT Legal Ice Hockey team and Managing Partner of DT Legal.

DT Legal Ice Hockey was originally created as a sporting project of DT Legal, but it quickly became much more than just a corporate team. Hockey brings people together, teaches them to play for each other, make decisions under pressure and keep fighting when circumstances are not in their favour.

“The emotions, the competitive spirit, the atmosphere in the dressing room and the whole experience of building a team have given me far more than I expected when we started this project. I am incredibly proud to captain DT Legal Ice Hockey. There is still a lot of work ahead of us, but I am sure we have a great season ahead,” added Dmitri Tchernenko.

6–2. First game, first win. The 2026/2027 season is underway!
