Dmitri Tchernenko took 2nd place in Legal Run 2025

On 7 May 2025, DT Legal founder Dmitri Tchernenko took part in the XII Charity Lawyers' Legal Run 2025 held in Meshchersky Park in Moscow. At the end of the 10 km race, he took second place in his age category and fifth place in the overall standings.

About 1,500 representatives of the legal community took part in the event. The race is traditionally held in support of the Gift of Life Foundation and a number of regional charitable organisations.

DT Legal congratulates Dmitri Tchernenko on his excellent result and wishes him further success both in sports and professional activities.

The DT Legal relay team took part in a long-distance triathlon race — 226 km (3.8 km swimming, 180 km cycling and 42.2 km running), which took place in Moscow on 10 August 2025.

Despite the minimal preparation time — the decision to participate was made just three days before the start — the DT Legal team achieved outstanding results:

1st place in the mixed team category;
2nd place in the overall standings among all relay teams.

DT Legal founder Dmitri Tchernenko completed the 180 km cycling stage through the central streets of Moscow in 4 hours and 43 minutes, maintaining an average speed of over 38 km/h.

‘When you work in a team, you feel a special responsibility for the result of your part. You give it your all so as not to let your colleagues down and lead the team to success,’ said Dmitri.

A long-distance triathlon is a unique challenge that requires strength of spirit, discipline, planning and tremendous endurance. For DT Legal, this race was the first of its kind, and it immediately brought victory.

On 17 January 2026, Dmitri Tchernenko, managing partner at DT Legal, took part in Biathlaw, a biathlon competition for members of the legal community.

The format of the tournament allows those who are trying biathlon for the first time to participate, with an emphasis on sporting interest and fair competition. Dmitri took third place in the competition.

DT Legal supports sporting and professional initiatives that reflect the values of endurance, discipline and strategic thinking that underpin our legal practice.

DT Legal’s Managing Partner, Dmitri Tchernenko, took part as a speaker and expert at the Transnational Bankruptcy and Asset Tracing Practicum organised by Recovery Club of PRObankrotstvo. The event was attended by around one hundred leading professionals, including representatives of major Russian banks, key creditors and professional bankruptcy trustees.

During his presentation, Dmitri Tchernenko focused on Section 1782 U.S.C., one of the most effective instruments available for asset tracing and evidence gathering in cross-border disputes. Despite its significant practical value, s.1782 remains relatively underused in many recovery projects. The mechanism allows parties to obtain evidence in the United States, including financial and banking information, for use in foreign proceedings.

The presentation addressed the practical application of s.1782 and was supported by examples from recent cases in which this tool played a decisive role in asset tracing and recovery strategies.

DT Legal’s participation in the Practicum further reinforces the firm’s position as a recognised expert in international dispute resolution and asset tracing. The firm welcomes continued cooperation with PRObankrotstvo and participation in future professional events focused on cross-border recovery and insolvency matters.

On 13 March 2026 the DT Legal team took part for the first time in Biathlaw, a mixed relay biathlon competition for lawyers held in Moscow.

The weather turned out to be almost perfect for closing the winter season: bright sunshine and temperatures of around +12°C. The DT Legal team delivered a strong performance, finishing in second place.

It is particularly rewarding that this was DT Legal’s first participation in the Biathlaw competition, and the team immediately managed to secure a place on the podium.

Sport is an important part of DT Legal’s culture, and we are always pleased to take part in events that bring together members of the legal community.

The team is already looking forward to next season’s Biathlaw competition, with the hope of competing for first place.
